![]() WebStone 2.0.1 Ready-To-Run Binaries
How To Run Pre-Compiled WebStone BinariesYou must already have the WebStone 2.0.1 source distribution installed on the system that will control your WebStone testing (the "webmaster" system). You must also install version 5 of perl and the gnu gzip and ungzip utilities (UNIX) or the pkzip and pkunzip utilities (Windows NT). Download the binary archive to the webmaster system. Unpack the binary distribution ( ungzip systemtype.tar.gz | tar xvf - ). Move the binaries to the WebStone/bin directory. Edit the first line of each perl script to give the correct path to the Perl 5 program. Check the README file from the binary archive for any further configuration steps. WebStone is now ready to run. How to Submit Binaries For Another SystemIf you'd like to submit WebStone binaries for a system, please make arrangements ahead
of time by sending mail to Here's some pseudo-code to show you how to prepare your WebStone binaries for distribution: cd WebStone Your release notes for each set of binaries should tell us: - The exact version of the OS, version of the compiler, and system type on which the binaries were created. - A summary of any changes that had to be made to the code. - Whether perl version 5 is a standard part of the system, and if so the absolute pathname of the perl 5 binary. - Any changes to the system that have to be made in order to run WebStone. Thanks for participating. We'd like to hear from you if there's a way that we could make this project more useful to you.
